Field Technician 3- (Aircraft Mechanic - AME)

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for an experienced E2 Aircraft Mechanic (AME) for the Japanese Self Defense Force (JASDF) E-2D Program. This position can be located in St. Augustine, FL or Melbourne, FL, and will require travel to each location. Additionally, this position will also require a deployment to Misawa, Japan for approximately 18 months. This will be an accompanied assignment in country Japan. The candidate will support the maintenance and flight testing efforts on this aircraft in St Augustine and Melbourne FL during the performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for servicing cads, environmental systems, crew seats and serving as a general airframe systems. In country Japan the candidate will be responsible to work side by side with the JASDF personnel and provide over the shoulder training to them on the aircraft.Basic Qualifications:

  • AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience with E-2C/D aircraft support. In lieu of a degree, an additional 2 years of experience with E-2C/D aircraft support may be acceptable.
  • Experience as CDI and plane captain and the ability to support operations IAW COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop supporting documents and policies in support of ISO 9000-2001.
  • An active Secret security clearance and passport are required.
