Field Technician 3
Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an experienced Field Technician to support E-2 aircraft operations at our Norfolk, VA site, and other domestic, and foreign locations.
The duties for the selected candidate will include, but are not limited to:
Installs, operates, maintains, inspects, repairs, aligns, and modifies aircraft structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment related to the E-2 aircraft. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as aircraft equipment, integrated systems and subsystems at customer and/or field locations. Must be knowledgeable of applicable publications used to analyze, maintain, and troubleshoot E-2 structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and related subsystems. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide formal and informal onsite training of customer support personnel. Candidate must possess a sound knowledge of Airframe, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems including their theory of operation, inspection, servicing, repair, component replacement procedures, functional testing, and must also have plane captain skills to include directing, aircraft moving, flight preparation, and be able to be certified for associated qualifications such as Tire and Wheel servicing, Hydraulic Contamination testing, Tow Tractor operation, aircraft towing, and ground support equipment operations.
This position will require travel for extended periods of time. Selected candidate must be willing to meet the travel requirements for this position.
- Associate’s degree or other technical degree and 2 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional 2 years relevant E-2C of experience may be acceptable.
- Experience with E-2C ( Group 1,Group 2, or HE2K) or E-2D platform at the E-5 level or equivalent.
- Documented NALCOMIS/OOMA experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Previous E-2D systems training and experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST4790.2 (Series) programs and practices a plus.
