Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Supportable Low Observable (SLO) Field Support TechnicianLevel 2at Palmdale, CA. The candidate will act as the Northrop Grumman Corporation technical interface to the customer in resolving issues arising from operations, maintenance, and other logistics and engineering support activities involving SLO and structures systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Basic Qualifications:
  • AA Degree or other 2 year technical degree and at least 1 year of SLOexperience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering witha backgroundin manufacturing experience, process improvement, product development, product manufacture, visual design, and team management.
  • Familiar with Solidworks, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Computer-Aided Design, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing Assembly, Modeling, Prototyping, Dimensional Analysis, Manufacturing Process Analysis, Cost Analysis.
