Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Facilities Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

The Facilities Engineering Manager, Maintenance Processes will be responsible for developing and implementing a standardized Maintenance Planning Process across the two large west coast sites in Palmdale and South Bay. The planning process will leverage the capabilities of Maximo which is the current Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)used across the AS Sector. Planning will include establishing maintenance windows with Customers across the sites andcommunicating those windows effectively to the Maintenance Teams so work can be scheduled accordingly.

Essential functions also include:

  • Analyzing required workloads vs. available resources and understanding labor needs with respect to craft skill mix, experience levels andclearance types
  • Level-loading Preventative Maintenance tasks to drive efficiency in usage of the existing in-house and contractlabor pool
  • Developing and maintainingPlanning and Maintenance Team efficiency Metrics
  • Developing and implementing a standardized Tool Crib inventory, layout and parts/material ordering,issue and replenishment process that integrates with the planning process to drive efficiency.
  • Identifying the correct mix and min/max values of common stock and critical infrastructure spares to ensure parts are "on shelf" and available at all times to minimize Technician wait time, ensure Preventive Maintenance materials are availableand foster rapid response to equipment failure
  • Utilize the JIT inventory model where possible to lower cost and maximize parts/material square footage usage
  • Developing a Maintenance Quality Assurance Program that gauges Preventive Maintenance work quality
  • Managing the Dispatch Team and ensuring received and completed work orders are closed out in the CMMS within 24 hours.
  • Manage the AS Sector Fitness Centers andassociated budgetincluding execution of all Preventive Maintenance and repair of exercise equipment

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 5 years maintenance planning and contractor management experience
  • Proficiency utilizing the Maximo CMMS or related computerized maintenance tracking system
  • One year experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MastersDegree and minimum 10 years' Maintenance Planning experience
  • Specificexperience in utilizing the Maximo Planning/Purchasing Modules
  • Maintenance Materials/Parts purchasing experience
  • Strong compliance background (NFPA, Cranes, Elevators, Boilers)
  • Active Secret Clearance
