Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Space Systems Program Office is seeking a Enterprise Software Lead Senior Manager, reporting to the Rushmore Program Director. The Manager will lead a team of software engineers whose responsibilities include providing mission application maintenance (Category 1 Software), mission tool development and maintenance (Category 3 Software), remote computer infrastructure monitoring, resource control and security maintenance for a complex 24x7 global operations and maintenance program. This position is a hybrid role, consisting of direct support to programs and people management. This position will be located in Aurora, Colorado.

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Lead the transformation from a distributed (worldwide) team to a largely domestic consolidated team to provide manpower and process efficiencies compared to historical practices. Fundamental to this transformation is a drive toward standard processes and procedures (to include configuration management), a centralized tools repository, and consolidation of the current highly proliferated Category 3 tools
  • Prioritize and deploy team and people resources to complete tasks regardless of geographic boundaries
  • Interface directly with customer, factory, and upper-level management to provide status and determine priorities

This position requires domestic and international travel.

The manager is expected to have a proven ability to maintain good customer interfaces, and be a focused self-starter with excellent delegation, team-building, and time management skills with the ability to act quickly and logically under stressful conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field from an accredited institution
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering and/or software management
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with software configuration management processes
  • SCI clearance, with Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience on RODEO, COAST, Atlantis, or AMP Programs
  • Experience in real-time command and control software, web tool development and integration, database management and utilization, networks, and system administration
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience
