Engineering Technician 2

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Perform optical coating tolerancing, analysis and process engineering of optics for projects related to optical technologies. Apply new techniques and coatings to meet product needs. Individually contribute to product development or program completion. The successful candidate can expect to receive technical guidance from engineers, senior engineers, program managers, and supervisory review on proposed plans.
Basic Qualifications:
AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and2 years related experience or4 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret clearance preferred
