Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The selected candidate will m anage the Northrop Grumman Manhattan Beach Electrical Materials & Processes Laboratory Section. They will be r esponsible for the direct supervision of twenty four engineers and technicians, establishing employee goals and providing feedback on a frequent basis. Also m anages a state of the art aerospace electronics test facility. The lab exists to fulfil testing needs and facilitate problem and failure solution. Performs scheduling, prioritizing of work load, technician and engineer tasking and technical oversight of the work product. Lastly, r eviews reports and results generated by section. Responsible for safely maintaining the operational capability of the lab, staffing, and employee development. Is the primary interface between project personnel and lab testing. Essential Functions: -Responsible for supervising and managing daily operations of labs that perform electronic parts testing for all air and space programs -Responsible for managing scheduling, prioritizing of work load, technician and engineer tasking and technical oversight of the work product -Responsible for performance review process (PRP), performance feedback, and employee professional developmentfor direct reporting employees(exempt and nonexempt)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
Five years of Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical engineering experience
2 years experience in a lead or supervisory role

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor in Science or higher electrical or systems engineering
Experience managing and developing technical performers
Electronic part testing, failure analysis, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). Demonstrated experience in materials testing.
Experience in a defense or aerospace environment
