Engineer Test - Electrical

Specific Requirements/licensing

  • Knowledge of component and system level automated testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of test instrumentation including, but not limited to, Power Supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers, etc.
  • Experience electrically troubleshooting components, test equipment.
  • Experience in software development controlling various pieces of test equipment and saving test results obtained for the DUT in a variety of formats.
  • Experience documenting test algorithms/results within a configuration control management system.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, C++, C#, MatLab and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Experience with a Database Management System (SQL Server) and developing WPF applications are highly desired.
  • Trai ning or certification in the following may be required:
    • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
    • Cryogenic Safety
    • Oxygen Deficiency
    • Software Assurance
    • Quality Management System
    • Ordnance Awareness Handling;
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test software dedicated to the evaluation of moderately complex sounding rocket flight components and systems.
  • Troubleshoot failed components, identifying a root cause when applicable and change automated tests of components to include lessons learned from the failure analysis.
  • Design and document test stands for automated testing of components, including researching test equipment, providing cost, building up and maintaining the test systems.
  • Follow software assurance best practices and program defined configuration management procedures.
  • May include documenting the results of complex analysis and design tasks for technical reports and formal meeting presentations.


Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) or Masters Degree (MA/MS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience is required. 2 years related experience is required.
