Engineer Test 3 - Manufacturing

Northrop GrummanMission Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector supporting manufacturing in Madison, Alabama. This position defines testing equipment and procedures necessary for in process and factory acceptance testing required to deliver systems to military customers. Works with design and production engineers to develop testing requirements, design test with regard to system requirements and functionality. Determines and develops data collection processes and procedures and documents. Attends meetings with engineering, production and program representatives and provides test input on development, production, scheduling and delivery of equipment to the customer. Coordinates with production on availability of test assets and receive for testing. Setup, configure and prepares equipment for testing and prepare test documentation and conduct pre-test checks. Conducts test readiness reviews with the customer and mission assurance prior to formal testing. Conducts testing with the customer and quality. Completes test documentation and provides reports and conducts after action reviews. Supports developmental test of new equipment such as environmental testing, operational testing and at times, assist in the fielding of new equipment to the end user.
Basic Qualifications:
5 Years Test Engineer experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years experience with Masters; 0 Years experience with PhD.Lead test team members in all aspects of testing
Represent the Integration and Test Manager at leadership meetings and with the Government Customer
General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.
4 years of experience authoring manufacturing test plans and procedures
4+ years of experience conducting verification and acceptance testing of military systems.
2+ years of experience configuring network equipment to support test activities
2+ years of experience with the processes and methodology associated with design, implementation/integration and documentation of systems
Experience with test methodologies associated with acceptance, verification, validation, and integration testing
Experience with data analysis
Ability to write clearly, concisely and accurately in active voice

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform basic professional tasks
Ability to coordinate with Systems Engineers, government test personnel and requirements developers for test design, planning and execution
Conduct and participate in test readiness reviews, after action reviews and test associated briefings or meetings.
Ability to perform a two-person lift in accordance with MIL-STD-1472
Ability to use MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Outlook
Candidate must be willing to work extended hours occasionally to meet deadlines
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Strong communications and network understanding. Must have some experience configuring and testing networks comprised of Cisco equipment
