Engineer Test 3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Test Engineer 3 in the Engineering, Manufacturing & Sciences (EM&S) Central Region Engineering, and Huntsville Site. In the Mission Systems sector, you'll join our experts in

Developing systems and solutions that keep our world safe. The qualified applicant will work in our Huntsville, Alabama office, headquarters for the Missile Defense and Protective Systems (MDPS) division.

  • Perform test planning, monitoring and test execution activities for IBCS software.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholder
  • Devise the test objectives, organization test policies, test strategies and test plans.
  • Able to estimate the testing to be done and acquire necessary resources.
  • Schedule the test for execution and then will monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science in an Engineering field; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
  • Must be able to work in a technical team environment characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities and quick responses
  • Experience creating and documenting test plans/procedures, analyzing results and creating reports
  • Experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems
  • C , JAVA
  • Active/current Secret clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience testing SW for performance and functionality based on requirement specification and ability to identify and document exact sequence of activities desired
  • Experience in a test lead role
  • Experience in a CMMI Level 5 organization
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Must be able to work in a technical team environment characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities and quick responses
