Engineer Test 1

The selected candidate will be responsible to support the flight test team on technical and schedule issues with respect to aircraft instrumentation modifications and data processing.
The candidate will perform design activities for the installation of test equipment and data system components. The applicant will also be the engineering liaison for flight test and instrumentation modification activities. The candidate will be responsible for releasing engineering documents, work instructions, supporting airworthiness documentation, monitoring fabrication activities, coordinating lab procedures, and supporting aircraft checkout and flight operations.
The candidate will also be responsible for post-mission data processing. The candidate will utilize specialized digital electronic systems, data processing systems, and other methods to accomplish the recovery, computation, and display of flight test data. Will lead and participate with other technical personnel in the diagnosis and resolution of any problems (hardware/software) encountered in the recovery of test data utilizing various data systems including PCM ground stations, telemetry ground stations, specialized data processing equipment, etc.
The position will be responsible for ensuring data quality and that appropriate metrics are in place and utilized to support quality data products.
Candidate will design, develop, integrate, maintain, and document tools/processes supporting the flight test data center. Systems development will be coordinated with flight test senior leadership and subject matter experts.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree inSTEM
Design experience using Computer Aided Design software.
Knowledge of instrumentation fundamentals includingMechanical Measurements, System Dynamics, and Vibration Analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with airborne data systems, data products and data processing.
