Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Liaison Test Engineer to join our B-2 team of qualified, diverse individuals.
The selected candidate will become part of the Liaison Engineering team within the Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation (SIT&E) IPT located in Palmdale, CA.
As a B-2 Principle Liaison Test Engineer 3, your responsibilities include:
You will be a member of a multi-disciplined team responsible for providing liaison engineering support for Special Projects.
You will be working with subsystems installations and composite structures
You will be performing timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations.
You will be working as part of a Material Review Board (MRB)
You will be working with a team of engineers coordinating with multiple disciplines to determine solutions to problems quickly and efficiently.
Individual will be required to:
Serve as either a principal subject matter focal point between maintenance, design engineering, and test site team.
Be able to work under only general direction to determine and develop approaches to solutions
Be able to work both within a team environment and independently
Be self-motivated, thorough, and detailed
Be willing to learn additional engineering discipline areas.
Travel may be required.
- A Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent from and accredited university.
- 2 Years experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Current Secret clearance and SAP required.
- Overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work will occasionally be required.
- A Masters' degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent from and accredited university.
- Full life cycle of air vehicle design support process
- Active MRB authority
- In depth knowledge of or flight test experience, to include control room monitoring, in one of the following disciplines: Payloads, Mission Systems, or Subsystems.
B-2 Program Security Requirements:
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret and a background investigation within the scope of six years. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and program specific accesses.
