Engineer Systems Test 2/3

The Bierstadt program in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a dynamic self-starter to join a team of system Test and Integration Engineers to continuously integrate system baselines and prepare them for system testing. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with other program organizations. Responsibilities will include integration and test of COTS and software for multiple subsystems into a baseline, performing installation and checkout, sub-system level testing, execution of stress, performance, external interfaces, vulnerability and security testing. Support to the development of detailed test procedures, support to factory acceptance tests and support execution reports, along with the documentation of discrepancy reports. Selected candidate will be responsible for developing technical content for test procedure generation and coordinating with the development teams.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below.

This position may be filled as either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, or related technical degree with 2 years experience.
  • Must have and be able to maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Test procedure development in a requirements (functional and security) verification environment.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux, Microsoft Windows, VMWare and databases.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex problems at different levels of detail, coordinating cross-program areas and with customers and suppliers
  • Ability to decompose large, complex problems in components and envision their interactions
  • Technical presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and oversight

  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior command, control and mission management experience a plus
  • Scripting experience
