Engineer Systems Test 2

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Engineer Systems Test 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Patuxent, MD.

As a member of the Triton Integrated Test Team, work with the Navy and assist senior engineers to develop, prepare, and modify ground and flight test plans, assist with developing flight profiles and develop ground and flight test cards. This position will assist with the coordination of schedules and resources for completing ground and flight tests.

Additional duties supporting Mission Systems lead, working with customer to prepare amendments to Mission Systems test plans, develop Mission Systems test cards, conduct Mission Systems analysis and prepare reports.

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral/written communication skills are required. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, weekends and holidays.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with two year's engineering experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work plane side both indoors and outside.
  • Experience conducting unmanned air vehicle flight test
  • Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with Navy Test Planning Processes highly desired .
