Engineer Systems Architect 6 - Flight Controls and VMS

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Flight Controls and Vehicle Management System Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at out Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence in Melbourne Florida. This position reports directly to the Vehicle Integration Engineering Director, and is a matrix report to the VMS Director on Strike Programs.

The selected candidate will act as a subject matter expert in VMS Hardware and Software development and the Air Worthiness Certification process of commercial and military aircraft vehicle management systems and have extensive experience in the fields of System and Software Development, Safety and Certification of System and Open System Computing with a background in cyber security.

The selected candidate will serves as a consultant to top management in long-range company planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements. Prime spokesperson on company's technical capabilities and future directions. Often instrumental in attracting and obtaining major new company business.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited universitywith a minimum of20 years' experiencein VMS development and integration or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) disciplinefrom an accredited university with a minimum of 18 years' experience in VMS development and integration.
Knowledge in any one of the following is a must - Vehicle Management Systems, Hardware Software Certification, Cyber Security, Flight Controls, or Vehicle System Computing.
Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret DoD Clearance
MS or PhDin Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science, with a MINIMUM of 23 years of industry experience.
Strong Leadership with a focus on driving program execution
