Engineer Systems Architect 5

A NGMS DoD program is seeking an Engineer Systems Architect with experience in AWS GovCloud to include an understanding of cyber security engineering to support a United States Government program. The candidate will be responsible for both the high-level system planning and execution of the program. The responsibilities include development improvements and oversight of AWS and its operations; good communication skills to guide the customer on AWS Cloud features and technical issues; support the program development and operations team in the technical aspects of the AWS environment; to develop an understanding of the program's eProbe application and workflow to include related planning, programming and budget formulation business processes and a thorough understanding of PPB components, design, construction and capabilities; preparation of technical briefings; communicate tactical and strategic vision to customer; and provide weekly status of ongoing technical progress and issues. The candidate should have the ability to design for and develop utility programs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems; and lead investigation of program issues. The candidate should have strong technical and leadership skills with a proven successful customer interaction. They will be expected to complete their tasks and manage their team tasks in a fast-paced results driven environment. The work location is Herndon, VA. Travel to Pentagon is required for customer meetings on a weekly basis.
Basic Qualifications:
Proven systems engineer/architect with excellent analytical and research skills with an ability to develop program roadmap with emerging technology and communicate recommendations that can benefit the customer mission.
Experience technical lead with proven skills to include planning of and monitoring team tasks
Certified Project Management Professional
Minimum DoD Interim Secret/SSBI clearance to start
Must have CompTIA Security+ certification
BS or equivalent in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of DoD financial processes
Certified AWS Solutions Architect Associate
Experience working with Linux and Windows
Good experience writing Linux scripts including PERL
Experience with workflow design and Java development and Web Services
Experience with developing J2EE applications using WebLogic Application Server and Oracle Database System 11g or 12c.
Experience in data warehousing using Oracle Database System 11g or 12c and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
Experience with Operational Maintenance and Sustainment of Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Database System (11g or 12c), WebLogic, and (UNIX or Linux and Windows Server administration)
Experience with data modeling to include OLTP and OLAP models.
Experience with Risk Management Framework for on premise and cloud, implementation of cybersecurity including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), eMass, Splunk, and security milestones before and after ATO
Some experience in Big Data and emerging database technology
