Engineer Systems Architect 4

Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for a senior level engineer specializing in secondary power (APU) systems. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to architect, develop, modify, test and trouble-shoot aircraft secondary power (APU) systems. In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage suppliers engaged in development of secondary power systems and demonstrated team leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to perform secondary power analysis and prepare build-to packages utilizing 3D modeling software is a plus.

This position will be permanently located in Melbourne, FL. Some travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience directly related to aircraft secondary power system development, as well as experience with engineering team leadership, supplier management skills, specification requirements generation and verification/ qualification acceptance testing. Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA is a plus. Experience with NX and Teamcenter.
