Engineer, Systems 3/4

Working in Northrop Grumman Mission Systems means making a direct contribution to mission projects that keep our homeland safe, expanding the boundaries of possibility and reshaping the world we live in.

In this role, you will perform Systems Integration & Testing for Terrestrial and Airborne Systems, which will include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

A level 3 position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's in a STEM degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's in a STEM degree and 3 years of relevant experience.

A level 4 position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's in a STEM degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or a Masters in a STEM degree and 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional requirements include:

  • DOORS experience, inputting requirements and linking through Specifications, ICDs, Test Plans, Test Procedures, to Verification.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
