Engineer Systems 3-19365

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Engineer Systems 3 for our Schriever Air Force Base, CO location.

The Warfighter Strategic Integration (WSI) System Engineer (SE) is responsible for the day-to-day SE activities on the WSI team, serves as the Scrum Master, and assists in test activities. The SE include deriving and documenting requirements to support the design, development and maintenance of the WSI products: BMDS Operational Readiness Reporting System (BORRS) tool, Request for Analysis/Information (RFA/RFI) tool, and Integrated Scheduling Tool (IST). The WSI products are web-based applications that facilitate BMDS operational scheduling, planning, and readiness and system configuration data for the MDA and the Warfighter. The SE will coordinate and work with the customer, software engineers, and testers to derive requirements and manage the configuration control process for the WSI software. The SE will develop and maintain requirements documents, description documents, development plans, and configuration control documentation. The SE will generate and maintain SML and activity diagrams related to the WSI tools and support risk management for WSI. The SE will be responsible for deriving stories/tasks in an Agile environment based on the requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM related field and at least five years of systems engineering experience and/or database design experience or equivalent in a software development role and requirements management.

Candidate must have experience with Microsoft web-based applications and tools to include MSDN Visual Studio, MSDN Team Foundation Server and SQL Server.

Candidate must have strong technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Candidate must have a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Missile defense experience. Knowledge of MDA elements and COCOMs.

Experience with the IST, BORRS, and RFA/RFI applications

Experience testing Microsoft web-based applications

Experience as a Scrum Master

Experience with Model-Based System Engineering tools, techniques, and methodologies

Experience with risk management within a process-oriented environment

Experience in software design to include developing system-level descriptions, determining requirements, specifications, and business processes, creating application architectures, designing user interfaces, and solving engineering problems

Security certification with Continuing Education (CE)
