What You'll get to Do:

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the analysis, development, manufacture, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling systems, propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. Customer facing analyst will lead an array of analysis projects, including: development of complex, multi-physics computational fluid dynamic (CFD) and heat transfer performance assessment models, software development projects written in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB, design of experiment and statistical analyses, and test data reduction and analysis. Candidate will act as a cost account manager, track all details related to cost and schedule performance required for the program, and act as a team representative in all project level meetings similar to an IPT lead. Candidate must be able to create excellent presentations and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
5 or more years of engineering experience in a physics-based modeling and simulation environment with a Bachelor's degree; 3 or more years with a Master's; or 1 years or more with a PhD
Programming or software development experience in general engineering languages (e.g. MATLAB, C++, FORTRAN, Python, etc.)
A basic understanding of commercial CFD software packages such as CFD++, Fluent, CFX, and Ansys Mechanical
Superior writing skills are required for documentation and technical exchange.
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Degrees in aeronautical/aerospace engineering, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, or physics.
Defense related project management experience. Experience with developing schedules, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and Microsoft Project.
Demonstrated ability to understand physics-based computational models that consider the relevant physical mechanisms and balance the fidelity of the solution with the available time and resources
Experience using commercial CFD software packages such as CFD++, Fluent, CFX, and Ansys Mechanical
Experience with test data reduction and analysis, uncertainty analysis, and verification/validation of computational results using first-principles and experimental data
Experience with scrum project management, agile software development, and software version control management a plus
Experience interfacing with external defense industry partners and customers
Active Secret Clearance
