Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a talented Model Based Systems Engineer. This position is targeting candidates experienced in Avionics Systems, interfaces, avionics service buses, networks, and embedded SW, also seeking experience related to System Design Integration; Requirements Development, Management, and Verification; decomposition and flowdown/linkage. System Thread Development, Functional Flow Analysis, and System Performance Analysis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This position requires strong technical writing and communication skills, and flexibility to evolving program environments. The candidate's performance directly impacts program success.


Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with a minimum of 2 years' experience; 0 years with Masters degree.
- Candidate must have an active DoD Secret clearance and a background investigation within the scope of five years.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and program specific accesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Engineering Physics.
- Air Vehicle Experience in Systems Engineering and Integration, Flight Test, Air Vehicle Subsystems, and/or Avionics HW/SW unit design.
- Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database, IBM Rational Rhapsody, or other MBSE Tools
- Current Program SAR Access
