Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Rancho Bernardo, CA has an opening for a VMS Avionics Engineer.

Essential Functions:
The selected candidate will support the Vehicle Management System (VMS) Hardware Avionics team. The VMS Avionics Hardware group is responsible for vehicle guidance, flight control, and management of flight critical hardware consisting of the following VMS subsystems: navigation, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Radar Altimeter (RadAlt), Air Data System (ADS), flight actuation system, Integrated Mission Management Computer (IMMC flight computer). He/she will be responsible for system and subsystem design, requirements development and verification, system performance analysis, design of analysis tools, interface definition, software requirements, integration and test.
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering along with 2+ years Engineering experience, or Master's in Engineering
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience using MATLAB

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Vehicle Management Systems (Understanding of flight computers, navigation, air traffic and health/redundancy management)
- Interest in working with UAV's
- Experience with Aircraft production support
- Supplier management experience
- Experience using MATLAB, C/C++, Flight Testing
