Engineer Sysem Modeling and Simulation 3 (Palmdale)

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a candidate to develop and/or integrate with existing system simulation frameworks for logistics planning and support. Selected candidate will simulate real-time operations and will develop software that simulates behavior of systems. This includes modeling operational environments, performing trade studies via modeling and simulation and recommending alternative architectures and/or support plan.

Candidate will demonstrate the skills and ability to perform complex tasks and should be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Participates in determining objectives of assignment, plans schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing program objectives. Represents the organization within the functional area and interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Previous experience and knowledge of Modeling of Aircraft Availability Forecasting (MAAF) is preferred along with familiarity with other supportability tools and models. Understanding of ETOS, operational availability, logistics footprint is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of project engineering or another related engineering discipline with Bachelors in STEM; 3 Years with Master's

Current and Active Secret Clearance

Able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer or Software Engineering.

Logistics planning, MAAF or V-Metric background.

Related experience in modeling and simulation, Operations research, assessing aircraft availability or other related analysis experience.

Current and Active Top Secret Clearance
