Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in San Diego, CA has an opening for an Engineer Software 5.


Essential Functions:
The qualified applicant will become part of our Aerospace Systems Sector's Advanced Software IPT working in a process-oriented softwaredevelopment environment. The position calls for a Software Engineer who will be able to analyze requirements allocated to computer software configuration items (CSCI), design and develop software with minimal supervision, and has experience with the full software development life cycle. Additionally, the selected candidate will be accountable for architecture, design, and implementation of a complex software system through entire software lifecycle. Job emphasis will be development, maintenance and execution of automated software tests for qualification of embedded software products, with opportunities for model and simulation code development.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) along with 14+ years of experience in software development or software test, or12+years' experience in software development or software test along with a Master's degree.
Active DOD Top Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain Special Access security clearances.

Experience coding in C/C++
IP Architecture Familiarity and Experience
COMMS Infrastructure Design Experience
Embedded Software Design
Software Process Improvement Knowledge
Command and Control Interface Experience
