Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will participate in the integration of embedded SW applications for use in a space software product.

Essential Functions:
Integration and test of multiple software systems executing in a distributed HW architecture
Work with SW development teams to troubleshoot integration issues
Develop and maintain test documentation
Lead and oversight of another engineer

The selected candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.

SFWAS
Basic Qualifications:
- 14 years of Software development and/or test experience with a STEM Bachelor's degree; or 12 years of Software development experience with a STEM Master's degree
- Experience with test environments including test sets and flight-like hardware
- Experience with developing and executing a test methodology

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MIL-STD-1553B
- Experience with Unix/Solaris
- Experience working with VxWorks
- Experience with distributed/networked SW architectures
