Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Software Engineer 3/4 to join our team providing customer driven software solutions that support constantly changing mission demands. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, success driven and mission focused and have an ability to solve complex problems through rapid prototyping and provide ongoing support to multiple deployed software baselines.

Successful candidates must be able to work in a dynamic small team environment willing to perform multiple roles on the team while being flexible to changing needs and demands. Ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to develop at all levels of software stack.

This requisition may be filled at a higher or lower grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a strong understanding of software engineering, design, development, and testing
C++ / Java / Python programming languages with emphasis on object-oriented software development
Possess strong mathematics and algorithm development skills
Experience with Linux software development environments
Demonstrated Ability to analyze high-level needs and through a structured and logical approach refine the need into an integrated set of requirements that leads to a fielded product
Proven interaction in a team environment
Position requires an active Top Secret Security/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
Level 3- 5 Years of Software Engineering experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years of Software Engineering experience with Masters; 0 Years of experience with Ph.D. with experience and expertise in software development and testing.
Level 4- 9 Years of Software Engineering experience with Bachelors in Science; 5 Years of Software Engineering experience with Masters; 0 Years of experience with Ph.D. with experience and expertise in software development and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Docker Containers
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Experience with Django, JavaScript Frameworks, and Web/Development
Experience in Agile and DevOps Practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, demonstrated by frequent and successful application of technical standards, theories, concepts, and techniques
Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to interface effectively with users, customers, management, and other engineering personnel
Experience working in direct support of customers
Systems Engineering experience
Integration and Test experience
Excellent communications skills (written and oral)
Ability write and implement engineering plans within a project
Ability communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
