Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Java Developer with an active clearance to support our Aurora, CO location.

Our growing Aurora, Colorado team is comprised of approximately 700 engineers, developers, technical and business professionals. It is part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems data systems operations. The facility is situated across from Buckley Air Force Base which is home to the 460th Space Wing. The site also sits within a 2 hour drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as several world-class ski resorts perfect for our employees who take advantage of Northrop™s flexible work arrangements.

At Northrop Grumman Java developers work on unique operationally deployed systems to both develop new capabilities and maintain operational subsystems. We are seeking developers who want to work on a small team in an agile environment on software products that support national security needs.
Because there is a small team, the effort will cover the entire development cycle: systems design, code development, GUI updates, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and integration and test of modifications/enhancements into an evolving baseline. The position also requires an individual with the ability to work on technical challenges and to provide innovative solutions, to include system troubleshooting, implementation of new capabilities for future versions of the system, and support test and documentation.

Must have the ability to successfully interact with end-users, customers, and other developers, as well as good written and verbal communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:
Software Engineer 2

  • 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
  • Must have an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI
  • Hands on work experience with Java
  • Must have full development cycle experience: systems design, code development, GUI updates, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and integration and test of modifications/enhancements into an evolving baseline.
  • Must have the ability to successfully interact with end-users, customers, and other developers
Software Engineer 3
  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
  • Must have an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI
  • Hands on work experience with Java
  • Must have full development cycle experience: systems design, code development, GUI updates, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and integration and test of modifications/enhancements into an evolving baseline.
  • Must have the ability to successfully interact with end-users, customers, and other developers
Preferred Qualifications:
