Engineer Software 2 / 3

Working on the Joint Enterprise Network Manager (JENM) project, planning, loading, configuration, monitoring, management and analysis application within the tactical radio environment.

  • Testing and supporting development using tactical radios by monitoring all tactical networking waveforms, including WNW and SRW networks.
  • Involved with integration effort in a more intuitive graphical user interface, simplification in planning tactical networks, network monitoring and troubleshooting issues.
  • Developing and testing in an Agile and Scrum methodologies enforced team short Sprints to facilitate customer needs and deliverables.
  • Development and integration of new radios within the same tactical radio credentials.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

(Level 2)

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience developing and testing Agile and Scrum methodologies

Knowledge of Software Defined Radios (MNVR, Manpack, Rifleman, using SATCOM, MUOS, WNW, SRW, ETC Radio Waveform.

(Level 3)

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience developing and testing Agile and Scrum methodologies

Knowledge of Software Defined Radios (MNVR, Manpack, Rifleman, using SATCOM, MUOS, WNW, SRW, ETC Radio Waveform.
