Engineer Software 1

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our team in Beavercreek, Ohio. The selected applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's AVIPSS Program working in a dynamic, people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers. The Software Engineer will participate in the entire software development lifecycle, with a concentration in software development using multiple high-level programming languages. The candidate must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Software, Computer Engineering, or related STEM degree plus some relevant professional work experience.
  • Knowledge in, or experience in, developing software applications in C#/.NET or Java
  • Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL)/Database Concepts
  • Familiarity with Objected Oriented concepts
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret /SCI Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, XSD, JSON
  • Experience developing secure web applications (HTTPS, PKI)
  • Knowledge in or experience with Eclipse or Visual Studio
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Unix, and Linux
  • Experience developing and/or using web services
  • Experience with web frameworks (Angular, JSF)
  • Experience developing with PL/SQL or PHP/MySQL
