Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our Advanced Programs team as an Engineer of Signal and Image Processing level 2 or 3 based out of Boulder, CO. You will be responsible for researching and identifying solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary problems, and designing and implementing algorithm solutions. You will research, design, develop, and verify signal and image collection systems, and develop processing and dissemination computer algorithms for experimental signal and image processing technology systems using and understanding of electromagnetic and acoustic effects on signals and images. Desired Skills: Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows and Linux (CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System) Experience working in small multi-disciplinary team environment Ability to develop and implement algorithms in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or Java Ability to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical project stakeholders. Presenting both algorithm approaches and conclusions Familiarity with configuration management software including Git or Mercurial Ability to support minimal (<10%) travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within U.S. Algorithm development experience for complex, mathematically intensive systems Experience in simulation and validation of algorithm performance Experience with optimization, estimation, and scientific computing Experience with Numerical Methods and Inference models (i.e. Markov Chains, Monte Carlo methods, etc.) in application to large datasets Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or related discipline and 2 years of related experience; 0 years of related experience with a Masters DoD Top Secret clearance that is or has been active within the last two years DoD TS/SCI clearance Ability to travel on occasion to Northrop Grumman and customer locations Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or related discipline and 5 years of related experience; 3 years of related experience with a Masters; 0 years of related experience with a PhD DoD Top Secret clearance that is or has been active within the last two years Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance Ability to travel on occasion to Northrop Grumman and customer locations Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
