Engineer Reliability 5 (Redondo Beach)

Northrop Grumman is looking for well qualified Sr. Reliability Engineer. Candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the areas of Reliability, Modeling, and Availability analysis efforts for developmental satellite programs. Applicant must have extensive background in probability and statistics used in performing Reliability analysis; extensive hands-on experience in conducting and providing technical guidance and oversight. Candidate will be able to guide / mentor employees performing the following tasks: failure rate/MTBF predictions, Reliability Allocations, modeling and simulations, Probability of Success, and Availability analysis. Candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of wide array of industry tools used to conduct Reliability analysis, ability to prepare and present briefings to senior leadership and external customers, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent skills with Microsoft tools and experience with multiple software analysis tools used in Reliability analysis.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field and a minimum of 14 years; 12 years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD, in core Probability and Statistics as used in Reliability analysis and activities. Must be able to obtain and maintain SCI program access. Must have US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently holds an active SCI/SSBI clearance.

Reliability experience in Space Programs.
