Engineer Quality 3
Northrop Grumman Enterprise Shared Services is seeking a Quality Engineer who will work on the StS program working on IT projects in Melbourne FL. Required to work in the Melbourne location.
Quality Engineer must have IT experience, working on projects for involving IT infrastructure (data centers, disaster recover environments, networks, etc.), IT software development, IT deployments, etc.
Defines, monitors, and evaluates project management lifecycle processes, project work products and deliverables, and performance of services to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
Provides Quality Assurance consultation and guidance to project management and systems engineering to select the best-fit methodology for each project, identify project risks, tailor process requirements, and share best practices. The candidate will participate / lead quality assurance assessments on the following areas with-in ESS: project management and service management. Escalates critical and/or recurring issues to appropriate levels of management. Ensures that all corrective measures are performed on-time and meet minimum requirements. Must quickly understand the requirements of a company policy, standard or process, and determine how best to apply it to a project, service, or quality and/or compliance review and recognize when requirements are not being satisfactorily met and have the courage to challenge.
Basic Qualifications: Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, with experience in Quality/ Quality Management
- Experience in IT software/hardware quality assurance
- Knowledge of Project Management life-cycle principles
- Strong presentation and communication skills
Secret clearance is required prior to commencing employment. Must have been cleared within 5 years.
