Engineer Network 3 TS/SCI

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking self-motivated, energetic individual to work at government customer site in Stafford, Virginia as a Network Engineer. The successful candidate will work on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program designing and maintaining internal and external networks for operating a wide array of antenna systems.

Candidate requires strong system Windows Server Administrator skills to support the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

Network related responsibilities include but are not limited to:
ï­ Designing and planning network communications systems, providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
ï­ Providing specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
ï­ Conducting testing of network design
ï­ Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, bridges, gateways, etc
ï­ Evaluating and reporting on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Basic Qualifications:
5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
Security+ certification required
Position requires a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI and successfully complete a polygraph
Must be able to work within a group or independently
Will work closely with other contractors and government customers
Ability to travel (less than 10% of time)
DOD 8570 compliance
Information Assurance Technical Workforce (IAT) level 1 or higher

Preferred Qualifications:
Linux administration, Exchange, Active Directory, HBSS, ACAS, Nessus, STIG compliance, IAVM, patching, RFM, IPS and IDS tuning, log severs and auditing, network monitoring, compliance monitoring, incident response, experience with Cisco switches and routers
