Engineer Mission Assurance 4

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is seeking a Mission Assurance (MA) Engineerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Orlando, Florida.

The Mission Assurance Engineer will ensure compliance with all Mission Assurance related contractual requirements, and sector/division policies and procedures, while contributing to the program's effective process implementation.

Tasks will include:
Provides technical solutions which support Quality Management System (QMS) functions on Department of Defense (DOD) and International software and hardware engineering, development, test, integration, and production programs. Utilize customer, NGMS policies and procedures, and International Specifications such as AS9100 and CMMI, to help realize those solutions.
Ensures Mission and Quality Assurance support throughout the full program life cycle and development, review, delivery, and maintenance for program SDRL and CDRL deliverables, internal plans, risk-based process audits, proposal bids and software processes and artifacts.
Works with the MA team and program management team to define, gather, evaluate, and effectively present process and quality metrics to assist with program efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Create and provide internal quality reports and metrics
The successful candidate will have an understanding of software quality assurance principles, the discipline to enforce them, and will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely and effectively with program personnel.

This position may be filled at a level 3 or a level 4.

MAQEA

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree
9+ years of related experience in supporting systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, software development, software test processes, software quality or program management (7+ years related experience with Masters; 4+ years related experience with PhD).
Ability to interact with key program personnel to assess and evaluate program compliance with key quality program processes and specifications, particularly in the area of software processes.
Ability to coordinate/collaborate with external quality teams in data gathering, problem solving, risk mitigation, and root cause corrective action.
Hands-on experience developing or reviewing plans and processes associated with AS9100 and/or CMMI
Experience performing trend analysis, using internal and external supplied data, to support production tracking and opportunity improvement.
Experience performing root cause analysis. Attention to detail coupled with the ability to quickly learn, assess, and apply new processes/procedures.
Solid written and verbal interpersonal, communication skills and confidence to brief senior management.
Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications :
Previous software experience in the following computer languages C, C++, C#, and Java
Agile and Waterfall methodology familiarity, software development, systems engineering and Cyber Security experience
Advanced Excel, Access or Minitab experience
Six Sigma Green Belt trained/certified
Experience performing Risk Based Process Evaluations.
Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and techniques
