Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Sector has an opening for a Senior Structural Design Engineer 4. Duties to include the review, assessment and update of aircraft maintenance and structural requirements and technical data for sustainment. Development of bill of materials and repair concepts required to accomplish heavy maintenance is required. Technical support and advisory of Government counterparts is a primary objective of this position. Candidate may participate in on-site support at product manufacturing and integration sites. This position is at Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. This position supports the existing Northrop Grumman and Government program and engineering teams at RAFB as well as Melbourne, FL. This position may require travel.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree is Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years experience in Aerospace Structural Design

Experience designing primary composite structure

Active DoD Interim Secret Clearance

Ability to visualize and develop aircraft structure within both a 2-dimensional (traditional engineering drawings and a 3-dimensional environment (CATIA, NX, Pro-E etc.)

Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with NX Solid Modeling

Proficiency with TeamCenter

Knowledge of NG processes

Experience in the resolution of aging aircraft issues is preferred. The demonstrated ability to work closely with Government counterparts. An active secret clearance.
