Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is currently seeking an Material Review Board, MRBEngineer to assist with the disposition of supplier withhold tags. Candidate shouldhave experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials.
Tasks will include: interfacing with multiple suppliers, dispositioning of discrepant material tags, interfacing with stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel in the design center and build facilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature orsignature from current employeris a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years of experience in design, fabrication of composite airframe structures or a Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance as well asspecial program access
BS or MS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
An active DoD Secret Clearance with a periodic review/re-investigation within the last 5 years and the ability to obtain and maintain access to special programs
Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority "EN"
Hands on experience in a composites manufacturing facility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Experience with military specs and standards
Experience interfacing with a military customer
