Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer specializing in development and management of aircraft subsystems models (1D Nodal). Some types of subsystem models are Environmental Control Systems, Fuel Systems, Hydraulic Systems, etc. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to create and maintain the integrated models. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and enhance standards, modeling guidelines, streamline approval cycles, and all aspects of infrastructure necessary from cradle to release of performance models. Must be proficient in AMESim (or equivalent).

This position will be permanently located in Melbourne, FL. Some travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree is Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years' experience directly related to developing detailed performance models of aircraft subsystems including validation of those models against flight test data and predicting aircraft subsystem performance throughout flight and mission profiles or Master's in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 0 years' experience directly related to developing detailed performance models of aircraft subsystems including validation of those models against flight test data and predicting aircraft subsystem performance throughout flight and mission profiles. Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA. Experience with AMESim, NX and TeamCenter.
