As a member and leader within the Aerospace Systems Manufacturing Technology Development team, you will define and develop manufacturing concepts and processes for current and future production applications in support of Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Innovation initiatives. This position will involve the capture and execution of internal and contractual Research & Development efforts relative to manufacturing technologies.
Position requires strong leadership and business skills applicable to project management. You will execute and manage R&D projects so that technical, schedule & cost obligations are met and high quality is maintained. Focus will include the development of Additive Manufacturing processes and procedures for affordability savings while accounting for product performance and producibility. Must incorporate requirements into development plans, and evaluate performance of processes and procedures to verify end objectives are met. In addition, you will provide guidance regarding design concepts, Technology Readiness Level/Manufacturing Readiness Level maturity, and specification requirements to best utilize resources and manufacturing techniques ensuring the best value solution can be transitioned to production.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills required as position involves extensive interfacing with various engineering disciplines, suppliers, internal and external customers, program representatives, and company leadership.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)and/oran Engineering disciplinewith 5 years of Engineering experience; OR Masters Degree in STEM with 3 years of Engineering experience.
  • Experience with Additive Manufacturing operations and/or development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in project management, including EVMS (Earned Value Management System).
  • Familiar with oversight and management of multi-functional teams, including supplier management.
  • Experience in the development, capture, and/or execution of R&D technology initiatives, including proposal and business case development.
