Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Grand Forks, ND has an opening for a Logistics Engineer 4-Grand Sky.

Essential Functions:

Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.

This individual will perform duties as a Logistics Support Analysis Engineer for Fire Scout Program in the Unmanned Systems portfolio at our brand new facility at Grand Sky, America's first UAS Business and Aviation park adjacent to Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. The candidate will identify LSA candidates and maintain the LSA database. It is expected that the candidate will have knowledge of Relational Databases and an understanding of maintenance in order to integrate the LSA products into the various Logistics disciplines and a firm understanding of the technical principles, theories and concepts of logistics engineering and aircraft design. The candidate will develop and implement technical solutions to logistics problems and maintain an integrated logistics database for cross-functional teams utilizing EAGLE.

Candidate may assist with coordinating subcontractor and customer interface meetings and the development of IPT deliverables which include but not limited to Maintenance Plans, Task Analysis, and SERDs to satisfy contractual requirements and identify user's logistic needs. Coordinate, collaborate, and support Product Support IPT activities. Well versed in integrated databases, spreadsheets, and engineering data capture. Some more advanced responsibilities will include acting in a consultative role to other programs on the development of logistic data sets and supporting proposal development requests across the business area. The ideal candidate will be well versed in integrated databases, spreadsheets, and engineering data capture.

Solid presentation building and briefing skills will be expected in order to interact with other Integrated Product Teams and customers. Excellent written and oral communication skills will be needed to develop and defend white papers to describe problem areas with recommended solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field with at least 9 years of experience with an LSA database tool such as EAGLE/SLICWave/MIL-STD-1388 and GEIA 0007 STD.
  • Relational Database experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior military aircraft maintenance experience is highly desired
  • Experience with CAD programs such as CATIA is preferred
