Engineer Industrial 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support its facilities organization with space and asset coordination. This position is in Linthicum, MD.

The role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for managing use of over 70 lab spaces using lab planning tool; as well as scheduling existing and potential programs in requested labs. Resolve any potential conflict in lab space as it may arise. Analyzes and design sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in lab space and facilities as well as equipment layouts; Establish methods for maximum utilization of existing lab space and facilities. Assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. May conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems and, on the basis of these studies, develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Basic Qualifications:

2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; experience to include maintaining engineering labs.

Experience with scheduling tools and CAD/AutoCAD.

Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite tools.

Eligible for Secret level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Secret clearance.
