Engineer Field 3

Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a highly qualified Engineer to join our team of diverse and dedicated Field Service Representatives. The position will be located temporarily at Beale AFB, CA for a training period, prior to deployment to the Republic of Korea. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Airborne and Terrestrial SIGINT Operating Unit, which supports the Intelligence and DoD customers.

The position requires working on a sophisticated payload performing functions such as; Pre-Flight testing; Use of complex RF and Digital test equipment to resolve non-standard issues; Operation, verification and control of COMSEC Devices and Material; Evaluation and Analysis of Pre-Flight and Built in Test results to quickly provide mission go/no go decisions; Training of USAF personnel in Sensor Operations; Proficient with USAF IMDS analytic tools and metrics; Coordinating with mission planners and local USAF leadership, reporting daily and weekly status; Reach back coordinating with plant Engineering teams to improve operational efficiency and provide input to future design solutions.

The successful candidate must have a current DoD TS/SCI clearance, Experience supporting a sophisticated system, the ability to work independently and in small teams, be an effective communicator and have the ability to quickly learn, operate and test a complex system.

Basic Qualifications:

BS Degree in an Engineering discipline, with a minimum 5 years of experience.

  • 5 years experience working with and troubleshooting complex electronic systems
  • 5 years experience of hands on use of electronic and RF test equipment
  • Working familiarity with Unix/Linux
  • Position requires a current TS/SCI clearance. No Exceptions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous SIGINT experience, pre/post mission analysis and maintenance.
  • USAF flight line experience
  • Unix/Linux expertise
  • USAF IMDS experience.
