Engineer Field 2 - Korea

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Field Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified and diverse Field Service Representatives. The successful candidate will temporarily reside in Sacramento, California for onboarding and training before deploying overseas.

The position requires working on a Flight Line supporting a sophisticated airborne Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) payload. Duties include performing functions such as Pre-Flight testing; evaluation of Built in Test (BIT) results; use of complex RF and digital test equipment to resolve issues; removal and replacement of chassis; maintaining maintenance logs and IMDS; coordinating with mission planners and reporting daily and weekly status.

The successful candidate must have a current DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in an STEM discipline (4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 2 years of experience working with and trouble shooting complex electronic systems
  • 2 years of hands on experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc)
  • Basic familiarity with Unix/Linux
  • Ability to live in Korea for at least 12 months
  • Current TS/SCI - no exceptions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous USAF Flight Line Experience
  • Previous SIGINT Experience
  • Pre/Post mission analysis and maintenance
  • USAF IMDS experience.
