Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Electronics Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Northrop Grumman is seeking candidates with outstanding leadership skills who would be responsible as a Test Set Responsible Design Engineer, RDE for the Telemetry & Commanding Test Set (TCTS). You will be part of the Electrical Ground Support Equipment, EGSE Team supporting Integration & Test, I&T and the project test bed. Responsibilities include both hardware and software roles which encompass test set development and troubleshooting anomalies as they arise. Root cause determination, problem resolution and documentation is expected. Test Set RDE will interface with subsystem test engineers, test operators, systems administrators, system test controller team, and vendors in order to provide support for various test set tasks as required. Test set RDE will also support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) which provide program management and customer representative status of EGSE suite prior to I&T major test activities. Position focuses primarily on command and telemetry subsystem, however other test sets within the EGSE suite may also require support. Position may require travel.

Essential Functions:
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have a track record of successfully performing test software and hardware skills. The candidate will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across engineering disciplines to accomplish the team goals. This candidate will also be capable of coordinating with internal and external customers and preparing/presenting the results of their work. Applicant will interface with multiple disciplines including customers, program management, hardware design, system engineering, procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM Degree with 5 years of hardware engineering experience; or3 years of hardware engineering experience with a STEMMaster's degree; 0 years experience with a STEMPhD.
Active SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience designing electronics test systems and automated test software.
