Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Radar Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

You will integrate and test payload systems in lab and field environments.

YourEssential Functions:

  • Ability to define, design, integrate, and test radar systems.
  • Specific tasks performed include supplier management, requirements review/flow down, system integration, test plan development, and test execution of a radar system throughout the entire development, demonstration, and production phases.
  • Technical knowledge of radar system software requirements and experience in the definition, design, integration, test, certification (end-to-end development), and operation of a radar system.
  • Experience in preparing detailed requirements specifications, test plans and procedures, certification plans and procedures and performance reports.
  • Understand all system requirements and develop statements of work and interface control documents, as well as participate in related design reviews.
You willthrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. You willcollaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.

Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have practical working knowledge of Radar system integration.

Must has BS in Engineering (Electrical/Computer Science, Mechanical or Aerospace) or related technical discipline (Physics, Mathematics), and a minimum of five years of related experience.

This position requires the ability to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Special Programs.

A final in-scope Secret clearance is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:
MS in Engineering. Greater than five years of experience. Current in-scope Top Secret security clearance. Excellent technical writing skills.
