This role is a Vehicle Management Systems (VMS)Engineer andrequires coursework and/or experience in aircraft vehicle management systems. Duties include: flight critical system design for aircraft control; architecture design with optimized redundancy levels; trade studies; specification of hardware elements and technical support to procurement; vehicle management software specification and oversight; fault management design; lab testing of flight hardware & software; on-aircraft testing; support to vehicle flight testing; and anomaly resolution. We seek candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and the ability to organize work, manage time, plan, and prioritize.

Primary responsibilities will include VMS specification development, requirements definition, and functional modeling. In addition, the selected candidate will lead lab testing of VMS requirements per the VMS specification definition.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited universitywith a minimum of9 years' experiencein electricaldesign of aircraft vehicle management systems or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) disciplinefrom an accredited university with a minimum of 7 years' experience in aircraft vehicle management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBE) development tools such as CORE is preferred.
