This position is for an Electrical Engineer with direct experience in Power Electronic circuit and sub-system design. The qualified engineer will be responsible for detailed design of power electronics circuit, power control circuits, and magnetics design. Design tasks include system level requirements analysis, sub-system level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design through design verification and transition to production. Analysis tasks include detailed circuit modeling, simulation and analysis, signal integrity analysis, electrical stress analysis, and worst-case circuit analysis.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.
The basic requirements for a level 3 is a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience.
The basic requirements for a level 4 is a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
Additional qualifications for both levels are:
- Power supply electronics circuit design
- Circuit modeling and simulation
- Schematic capture
- Circuit and sub-system test and troubleshooting.
- U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Cadence CAE tool
- Circuit board design
- Signal integrity analysis
- Worst case analysis
- Electrical stress analysis
- Design verification and test
- A working knowledge of MIL-STDs 704 and 461 for power quality and electromagnetic interference
- Transformer and inductor design
