Northrop Grumman Corporation is seeking a Database Engineer with an active clearance to support our Aurora, CO location.
Our growing Aurora, Colorado team is comprised of approximately 700 engineers, developers, technical and business professionals. It is part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems data systems operations. The facility is situated across from Buckley Air Force Base which is home to the 460th Space Wing. The site also sits within a 2 hour drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as several world-class ski resorts perfect for our employees who take advantage of Northrop's flexible work arrangements.
The ideal candidate would have NoSQL experience. Having no SQL experience is not a problem, although it is helpful to know SQL. So in summary, the ideal candidate will know NoSQL and know SQL to make sure this effort is making the correct design decisions. This position is to join a program that has new scope to develop a new subsystem. This is an excellent opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new effort. Your database knowledge will allow us to set up a perfect implementation and save heartache for DBAs and SW developers for years down the line. The preferred technology background for this position is familiarity with Apache Cassandra.

9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Experience with NoSQL
Must have an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with RDBMS
Experience with SQL
Some experience with specific NoSQL type databases (e.g., Apache Cassandra, MongoDB)
