Engineer Construction 2/3

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer Construction 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Linthicum, MD.

Roles and responsibilities:

Plans, designs and oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities.

Prepares architectural, engineering, and cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and schedules.

Obtains and supervises outside contractors.

Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities.

Supervises the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects.

Conducts construction surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements.

Provides engineering consulting services to local and divisional offices.

This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

2 years with a BS in Engineering, Architecture or related technical field; OR 0 with a MS; experience to include facilities related experience.

Experience with CAD/AutodCAD.

Ability to obtain Secret level clearance.

Basic qualifications for a level 3:

5 years experience with a BS in Engineering, Architecture or related technical OR - 2 years with MS; or 0 Years with PhD; experience to include facilities related experience.

Experience with CAD/AutoCAD.

Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

PE Certification.

Secret level or Top Secret Level Clearance with SCI security clearance.

Experience with SAP.

Strong communication skills.

Facilities experience in the Defense sector along with understanding of security standard ICD 705.
