Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a position on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program as the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision
Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) Senior Systems Analyst (SA).

This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

The BPP SA will support the BPP lead system analyst and BPP lead system engineer and be responsible for conducting analyses of the BPP weapon system Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) for both mission and system level requirements.

Duties will include tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the performance measures, generating formal reports, and providing quarterly presentations to the BPP weapon system stakeholders or other more frequent technical interchanges, as well as conducting impact analyses of planned system modifications.

The SA will be expected to have a basic knowledge of ground systems space and missile warning missions (e.g., Space surveillance sensor accuracy and response and Missile Warning/Defense tracking, messaging, launch and impact point
data). In addition, system knowledge of ground based phased array radar (such as system availability, reliability, and maintainability) with preferred experience and knowledge of the BPP sensor is also required. Experience in an MBSE program is preferred but not mandatory.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 5 years of systems analyst or engineering experience; or 3 years' experience with a Master's degree in same discipline
  • Experience as a systems engineer
  • DoD Secret clearance that is or has been active within the last two years
  • Ability to travel on occasion to Northrop Grumman and customer locations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in conducting BPP systems level performance analyses
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering
