Engineer 4

Evaluates and resolves engineering related production, post-production, and product upgrade installation problems related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering. Resolves structural, stress, mechanical, electrical, low observable, or aircraft systems issues individually or through coordination with appropriate engineering authority. Analyzes engineering specifications and drawings; confers with quality, material, manufacturing and subcontractors to provide and obtain technical information; investigates reports of defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment or systems; and reviews production schedules and orders. Examines, measures, inspects or tests defective parts for conformance. Evaluates findings to formulate corrective actions. Works closely with internal and customer engineering organizations to support B-2 program objectives.Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, plus 9 years related experience, or Masters Degree with 7 years related experience in design or repair of metallic and composite aircraft structure, aircraft material selection and compatibility, and using computer drawing and 3-D solid modeling software. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills are required. Must demonstrate initiative, perform well with team members, and have excellent technical problem solving abilities. The candidate must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain additional clearances.

Preferred Qualifications:

Desired skills include CATIA V5 3-D solid modeling proficiency, structure design and fabrication experience, experience with low observable structure and coatings, expertise in aircraft component fabrication and machining processes, and knowledge of aircraft systems. Current B-2 engineering MRB authority is a significant advantage.
